Is 'Baazaar' inspired from the 1987 Hollywood film 'Wall Street'?

The trailer of director Gauravv K Chawla's upcoming film '

Baazaar

', which stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Chitrangda Singh, released today. As seen from the promo, the story revolves around a Gujarati business (essayed by Saif), whose aim is only to make profits and money, even if that means taking treading on the wrong path. The businessman has an admirer, played by Rohan Mehra, who eventually gets trapped in his dirty world of merciless business.

Interestingly, the story reminds us of the 1987 Hollywood crime drama, '

Wall Street

', which starred Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen in lead roles.

In the film, Michael is seen as a stock market don, just like Saif, while Charlie plays a man, who is influenced by him and gets eventually trapped in a stock market scandal, much like Rohan's character.
