It has been a year since Irrfan Khan passed away. The charismatic actor will be remembered for his impeccable body of work in both Bollywood and Hollywood. Apart from being an ace actor, he loved food, travelling, photography. He wasn’t an avid social media user but often captured beautiful snaps from his shoot locations to share with his fans. Filmy influence

Irrfan had recreated the iconic ‘Sholay’ poster--which originally featured Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra--with his brother. He shared a bunch of black-and-white pictures on his social media handle and wrote, “Somebody told me that to be an actor you must know horse riding … so whenever I went to ride (or learn to ride - which I didn't at that time), I made it a point that when I sat on the horse … my look would be inspired by Rajesh Khannaji …. ;) Hero toh banna hi tha! #FilmyInfluence. Sharing another picture, Irrfan wrote, “This is our poster inspired by the #Sholay poster. #FilmyInfluence.”

3/6

Mithun Chakraborty fanboy

Irrfan had shared a throwback picture of himself on social media and shared that he had always wanted his hair to be like Mithun Chakraborty's. He added, “So I used to go to a barbershop and tell them ke mere baal seedhe kar do …. because my hair were curly and kind of stiff .. Aur kya hota tha ke first day my hair would look good .. just like Mithun's, but after that they would turn into a bird’s nest ! #FilmyInfluence. This picture is Day 1 just so you guys know ;).”

4/6

Wanderer at heart

Apart from bowling fans over with his acting chops, Irrfan loved travelling and clicking candid shots. His social media feed is a treasure trove of nature photography from his travels and lends an insight into his perspective. He had once shared a breathtakingly beautiful picture of himself on his social media feed and captioned it as, “Wander often .. wonder always ..”

5/6

Puppy love

Irrfan Khan loved puppies. Even when he was on the sets, he would find the time to explore the area. Showcasing his love for nature and animals, Irrfan once took to his Instagram feed to share a post of himself playing with a puppy. He captioned it as, “Puppy seems to be a better poser”. Post shoot, too, he would often hang around with the cast of the film which is when this pic was clicked, which the actor captioned as, “Post shoot shenanigans Grinning face #kiteflying,”

Straight, simple, and colourful
