Inside Raveena Tandon’s sea-facing, approx Rs 80 crore worth residence, ‘Neelaya’
Famous actress Raveena Tandon resides in Neelaya, a perfect escape home, with her husband and in-laws. ‘Neelaya’ refers to a blue abode.
Neelaya, Raveena Tandon's gorgeous seaside property, is a peaceful haven from the bustling Bandra lifestyle. She lives in the same house as her husband, Anil Thadani, her in-laws, and her two kids, Ranbir and Rasha. The house has a variety of design elements, drawing inspiration from South Indian, French, Moroccan, and European architecture.
Neelaya means "blue abode," and ET Now estimates that the house is valued at about Rs 70 crore. According to real estate reports, the house's entrance is exquisitely designed, providing a preview of the interior's artistic magnificence.
The house has another unique feature: the stone features of Lord Nandi, Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, and Mata Parvati are placed according to Vastu Sashtra to bring good energy into the home. As per the same report, the Nandi sculpture at the entrance is said to be over 50 years old. It was reportedly sourced from a temple town in South India.
The home also displays an exquisite collection of art. Paintings by well-known artists like Paresh Maity and Thotta Vaikuntham add color and personality to the walls. The living room completes the look of the house, with marble floors and red brick blending modern charm with old-school magic.
The seating area features cozy black and grey couches next to wide glass doors with sheer, light curtains. The area feels cozy and fashionable thanks to a glossy black center table, a soft olive green carpet, glass side tables displaying family photos, and a gleaming golden lamp. Additionally, there is a marble-topped bar counter with a wooden base and elegant black leather bar stools.
The dining room gives off a European feel, with forest green walls decorated with 3D wooden panels and light wooden floors.
Raveena's bedroom features square wooden patterns on the walls with a soothing jade-green paint. To create a calm and uplifting atmosphere, it has a lovely vanity table in the vintage style with makeup lights and some Feng Shui plants.
Speaking to goodhomes.co, Raveena Tandon shared, “The home is a fusion of sorts. Both Anil and I didn’t want to restrict ourselves to any particular style. I am as much in love with the sublime architecture of Kerala as I am enamored by the intricacy of Moroccan design. Rustic, I love. But I love the lusciousness of luxe finishes even more. I wanted a little bit of everything in my house. Anil and I knew exactly what we wanted for the house. Architects Saket Sethi and Shabnam Gupta helped us realize our vision for the home. It had to look good as a complete picture. We’ve been told that our house has good vibrations, and that’s all that matters.”
