On Tuesday, the actor shared the first picture from her wedding that looked like a page out of a fairytale.
Taking to Instagram, Mahira shared the picture and wrote, "Bismillah."
In the romantic picture, the couple could be seen hugging each other under the veil.
After the big day, official photos of the bride and groom were posted online and offered glimpses into the grand wedding festivities. The pictures also offered a closer look at the bride's gorgeous white lehenga for the big day, along with some candid shots of the newly weds sharing tender moments during the celebrations.
Mahira also took to her handle to share photos from her pre-wedding celebrations and revealed how her mother played a big part in the festivities. Sharing the photos, she wrote, "My mother had one wish… to start the wedding with a dua. My beautiful Ama, who is in a wheel chair - one would think she can’t do much - but really, she can do everything and anything. She sat and managed the decoration downstairs, the table, the moving around of furniture anddd she was ready dot on time... Alhumdulillah for our parents. Later on that day, my childhood girlfriends had a mayun for me."
The wedding reportedly took place in Pakistan's Bhurban in the presence of family members and close friends.
Soon after she dropped the first wedding picture, her friends and fans swamped down the comment section and dropped red hearts and fire emoticons.
Actor Sonam Kapoor wished her saying, "Congratulations beautiful girl. God bless you both."
Actor Mouni Roy commented, "Heartiest congratulations to both of you. Wish you the happiest most meaningful journey ahead."
The 'Raees' actor also shared a video from her marriage ceremony on her Instagram and captioned it, "My Shehzada, Salim."
While the bride stunned in white, the groom, Salim donned a black sherwani and blue turban.
Walking the bride down the aisle was her son Azlaan.
Salim became emotional and was seen wiping away tears on seeing Mahira in her bridal attire walking towards him.
This is Mahira's second marriage. She was previously married to Ali Askari in 2007. The two welcomed a son together in 2009. However, they separated in 2015. For quite some time, rumours about her relationship with Salim Karim had been doing the rounds, but the actress chose to keep her private life out of the media glare.
On the work front, she was seen in a number of Pakistani movies and shows, including 'Bol', 'Bin Roye', 'Manto', among others. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Raees' in 2017. Among her most successful television shows was 'Humsafar', also featuring Pakistan's heartthrob Fawad Khan.
