India’s biggest franchise 'Khiladi' is back

Akshay Kumar, who is actually more popular as Khiladi Kumar, is getting back to doing what he does best — action. After a gap of 12 years, the actor is returning to his famous Khiladi franchise with 'Khiladi 786'. The actor, who has become synonymous with Khiladi, is extremely happy to return to the genre.
Akshay says, “Initially, when I started with Khiladi, I was doing it because I was kicked about action.I didn’t know it would become one of the most popular, longest running franchises in Bollywood. The excitement with every Khiladi film kept increasing and now it has reached that point where people are looking forward to the film.”
With Khiladi 786 being the eighth film, the franchisee is the biggest in Bollywood. No other franchise has these many successful films with the same actor over the past 20 years. Khiladi 786, produced by Eros International, Hari Om Entertainment and HR Musik, releases December 7.
