Imran Khan has started shooting additional portions for his comeback film ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’, according to a new report. The Netflix project, directed by Danish Aslam, has already been filmed, but the team has now planned a four-day extended schedule after the platform suggested changes to strengthen the story. The film also stars Bhumi S. Pednekar and
Gurfateh Pirzada, who will take part in the new shoot before the movie returns to the editing table.
Imran Khan's comeback film gets new footage
As per Variety India, Netflix watched ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ and suggested refinements to improve the film’s narrative. Imran and Danish were open to the feedback and planned a short schedule for the new material.
The report said the shoot began today and will end by Friday. A source told Variety India, “It’s not reshoots or patchwork but the addition of new footage intended purely to elevate the storytelling. Once wrapped up, the film will go back into editing again before the final cut is submitted to Netflix for approval.”
The report added that Bhumi S. Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada will also be part of this schedule. The update has added to interest around Imran’s return, as ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ marks his much-awaited comeback to films.
‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ and ‘Break Ke Baad’ connection
Imran’s return has drawn attention because his earlier Hindi film work shaped a softer style of romantic hero. His films often presented male leads as sensitive, unsure and conversational, rather than intense or action-driven. ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ is said to continue that space and has been described as a spiritual successor to ‘Break Ke Baad’.
In an exclusive interview with News18, Imran said the title ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ came from a song in ‘Break Ke Baad’. He clarified that the new film is not a sequel, but he sees it as a spiritual successor. The title was kept as a nod to the earlier film.
The project was shot last year. Danish Aslam, who directed ‘Break Ke Baad’, is also a close friend of Imran. The two stayed in touch after their earlier collaboration.
Speaking about how the film came together, Imran told News18 that he had been feeling the urge to make a film and wanted to explore certain themes. Since he knew Danish’s creative style, he approached him for a collaboration. Danish responded with interest. He had been developing a story in his mind for nearly a decade, and Imran connected with it. The two then decided to develop the film together.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
