The talking point being Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of legendary music composer Illaiyaraaja, who is all set to compose the music for Kunal Deshmukh’s next (untitled) starring Emraan Hashmi produced by UTV.
Manish Hariprasad, Creative Director, Studios, Disney UTV, said, “Yuvan is one of those music directors, whose music has universal appeal.

It feels great that we are launching him.”
A source told TOI: “The music of Deshmukh’s movies has always stood out. The filmmaker had heard about Yuvan’s body of work and decided to meet him and discuss his film. By the time the meeting ended, they had decided they would work together.”
Deshmukh is currently busy with the pre-production of the film, whose leading lady hasn’t yet been finalised.
“Yuvan is expected in Mumbai soon and will be part of elaborate meetings where the music will be discussed in detail,” the source added. Kunal Deshmukh remained unavailable for a comment.
