' when asked about the reasons she turns down films revealed that there was one film which was a Hindi remake of her own south film and went on to do big business at the box office. The dates the makers of the film needed from her were clashing with other films that she had committed to and that’s why she couldn’t do it. She also added, “I turned down another film because it required me to only look good. I have nothing against it as it can be a great show reel as well. But, I wanted it to have more meat. I didn't want to play an airhead. Sometimes, I have said no to a film based on my gut feeling. But, what's important to me is that I have the luxury of saying yes or no to a film.”

When quizzed if she had given her nod to a film and then regretted it, the actress says, “That has happened once in Hindi films. I wondered what I had gotten myself into. But I had committed to the film and I couldn’t sleep walk through it. Even though many people do that, I would have felt guilty if I did it. Ages back, when I started out, my dad told me that the last thing you want to be thinking when you are watching yourself on screen is that, you didn’t give your hundred percent.
