Bringing nostalgia to the screen, late veterans Dharmendra and Asrani, who together created magic in the 1975 cult classic, return to share the frame in this much-awaited project.

As the frame widens, Asrani appears beside him, sharing a warm laugh with the beloved star, who passed away on November 24 at 89.

Asrani's passing details

Veteran actor Asrani passed away at the age of 84 in October this year. His manager and close friend revealed that he died from a chest infection at 3 PM on October 20. The news of his passing was officially shared through a post on the actor’s verified Instagram account. The message read: “The news of the passing of the king of comedy, the great actor Asrani ji, who ruled over millions of hearts, has plunged us all into deep sorrow. He gave Indian cinema a new identity with his unique acting, simplicity, and humor. The life he breathed into every character will forever live on in our memories. His passing is not just a loss for the film industry, but for everyone who ever smiled at his acting. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti."

About ‘Ikkis’

‘Ikkis’ is a war drama centered on the life of Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film features Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia in key roles. It portrays the heroic journey of Khetarpal during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and is set for release on December 25, 2025. Dharmendra also stars in the film, playing Arun Khetarpal’s father, adding emotional depth to this patriotic saga.
