‘Ikkis’: Mukesh Chhabra appreciates Dharmendra's ‘grace’ in his last film; 'You’ve left us with something deeply emotional,' says in his review
Ahead of the January 1st release, the makers of ‘Ikkis’ kept a special screening of the movie in Mumbai on December 29. From Salman Khan to Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Rekha, several Bollywood stars attended the special premiere. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra was also present at the screening, and after enjoying the cinematic treat, he took to X to share his review. Calling the movie ‘honest,’ he appreciated the cast and the director for their work. His special mention of Dharmendra in the review melts hearts instantly.
"Just watched Ikkis — a film made purely from the heart. Gentle, honest storytelling that stays with you long after it ends. Dharmendra sir… what grace, what depth. If this is your last film, it truly breaks the heart. You’ve left us with something deeply emotional and important. You will be missed, sir," wrote Chhabra.
He then continued his review by appreciating the rest of the cast for their efforts. He penned, “And Jaideep Ahlawat — hats off. I genuinely didn’t expect this, and I’m glad to be surprised. A warm welcome to Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia — both were beautiful on screen. Endearing eyes, lovely chemistry. Agastya’s innocence and sincerity truly shine. Special mention to Vivan Shah and Sikandar Kher — outstanding work.
“And above all — Sriram Raghavan. The man. The master. Once again, sir… once again. A heartfelt film, told with honesty. Cinema that feels personal," with this, he concluded his review of ‘Ikkis.’
