Ihana Dhillon's cleaning up the city beaches

actress Ihana Dhillon also decided to do her bit and took up the initiative for

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

at Silver Beach at Juhu, on Monday morning. The

actress

was there at 7 am sharp. She shares her experience of it. Says Ihana, “I was there early and cleaned up Silver Beach, which is also in Juhu. I jog here every morning and while doing so I used to see so much trash lying around. People, especially senior citizens, find it difficult to walk due to it, so I thought, let’s make an effort to clean the place."

The actress donned gloves and picked up trash from the sands

She went equipped to carry out the task. "I took my gloves, garbage bags, brooms with me. Some members from my team also joined in to help out. Cleaning and picking up the litter took almost an hour-and-a-half. The best part is, so many people came up and asked what we were doing, and also wanted to join in. We plan to clean the other beaches, next,” she says.

The actress also calls for a greater collective effort when it comes to

cleanliness

. She adds, “I think that #SwachhBharat should not only be the Government’s or our Prime Minister's dream, but it should be in our agenda, too! Let’s take a pledge now and dedicate at least one hour into this

movement. It is our responsibility to do so.”
