IFFI set to pay homage to eight Indian & four international artistes

The 52nd edition of the

International Film Festival of India

IFFI

), which will be held from November 20 to 28 in Goa, will pay homage to eight Indian film personalities and four international personalities for their contribution to cinema with the screening of their films.
Celebrating Dilip Kumar, Surekha Sikri & Puneeth RajkumarDilip Kumar’s Devdas, Surekha Sikri’s Badhaai Ho, Puneeth Rajkumar’s

Raajakumara

and Buddhadeb Das Gupta’s Kaalpurush will be screened at the festival. Puneeth’s Bettada Hoovu may also be part of the homage section. Our sources say, “We have lost legends of cinema this year, and the 51st edition of the IFFI will celebrate their life and work at the festival.”
These films will be screened at physical screenings in Goa. IFFI has also invited family members of these artists, however, they are yet to receive confirmation.

TO BE SHOWCASEDAmong the international personalities, while a separate section is planned for Sir Sean Connery, the festival will also showcase films of Bertrand Tavernier, Christopher Plummer, Jean-Claude Carriere, and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
