AT talks to Soha Ali Khan on acting, family and more Soha Ali Khan is no longer the shy, diffident new comer. “One learns, one accepts, and moves on. Experience is always enriching. And it makes you grow up,” says Soha. And the actor has grown up pretty nicely too. She laughs, “Careerwise too I am happy. It’s after a long wait that I have finally been able to work with a female director (in Chauraha).” So, she’s come a long way from just being known as Saif Ali Khan’s sister or Sharmila Tagore’s daughter? “Well, mom still worries about me, and keeps SMSing me when I am out on location shoots.
Saif’s still doing the elder brother bit, and dad’s attitude towards me hasn’t changed either,” is her reply to this.
Talking of Saif, does she take acting tips from him now? “His strengths are different from mine and therefore it is very difficult to do that,” she says. And given a chance, will she work with Sharmila and Saif? “Why not? I’d love to work with amma and Saif. But not just for the sake of acting with them. The script has to be good, and there has to be a right royal reason why the three should be in it together.”
