Her second Hindi film, produced by Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan, has just hit the screens, but Pallavi Sharda is already becoming a name to reckon with. Born in India, raised in Australia, Sharda recently shifted to Mumbai. “I always dreamt of becoming an actor and making a mark in Bollywood. When I was approached for the role of Sia, in the film, I just couldn’t say no.
Dia and Zayed helped me a lot and made me comfortable on the sets,” says Pallavi.
But does she regret that her maiden venture Dus Tola didn’t do well at the BO? “Every actor wants her debut film to be a hit. I too was expecting a lot from Dus Tola. I think the film was not marketed well and hence didn’t make a great impact. But I stand by the fact that it was a good film, which had a great actor like Manoj Bajpayee. I don’t regret having done the film,” says Pallavi.
Pallavi has already worked in Walkaway, a cross-over film in which she played the lead. She has also dabbled in theatre and is a trained dancer. “I want to spread my wings and explore different industries. I am also game for south Indian films as I have a fair understanding of south Indian languages especially Tamil.”
Now that donning a bikini has become a fad among the Bollywood actors, will Pallavi be game for it? “I would love to do character-driven roles. In case, if my script requires me to don a bikini, I would definitely do,” signs off the actor.
