My style quotient
Style is something that sets you apart from the crowd, that makes you different for the right reasons. My personal style statement is simple and classy. I prefer sticking to basics and keeping my accessories equally small and simple. I think it’s important to be yourself and let loose from time to time.
1x1 polls
I have a few favourite brands where I keep shopping from, but more than the fancy embellishments and frills I prefer simple A-line cut dresses. Unlike most women, I don’t spend hours getting dressed. I’m usually done within 15-20 minutes.
My colours
I like to stick to basics like blacks, whites, greys and pastels and generally choose monotones. I don’t experiment too much with colour, but like to add a certain streak of a vibrant hue. Like I may team together a white ganji with a fluorescent bag or belt. But, I never go all bright. I prefer keep it slightly low-key. At times, I may paint my nails in bright colours and have them stand out.
My fave accessories
Since I am extremely tall, I mostly stick to flats when it comes to footwear. I usually sport ballet shoes or chappals, which are great for the humid weather. I love collecting watches — they are my biggest indulgence and are very useable. I love pairing a casual watch with a formal outfit to create a different style statement. Considering I have a small wrist, most of my watches are have a smaller dial but I also have a few large ones. Bags are another favourite, from clutches to bigger ones, I love flaunting a good bag.

My partywear
Black is my uniform. If I know I’m going to be dancing or moving around a lot, I choose comfort clothing like a kaftan or a cocktail dress, that’s not very tight fitting. I don’t like being restrained when I’m partying and the fit is of utmost importance.
My little experiments
I have experimented around with my look when I was younger. Once I put colourful ribbons in my canvas shoes and flaunted them in school. I kept falling down and made a total fool of myself. Another time I went to South Africa and got my hair braided with beads. It took me a good two hours to straighten it out and look normal and in the bargain I lost some hair too!
