‘I have faith in Vikramji’

Actor Rajniesh Duggal is a known face on the ramp. A successful model, Rajniesh has won a number of contests and has recently made debut in industry with Vikram Bhatt's horror movie, 1920. In an exclusive interview with KT Rajniesh talks about his film, his upcoming projects and lot more.
Ask Rajniesh why he started his Bollywood career with a horror movie and he replies, ���Actually the story of the movie really appealed to me a lot when Vikramji narrated it to me.I found my character so challenging that I immediately said yes to Vikramji just after hearing the story the story. Another reason for signing this film was the faith on Vikramji���s direction. I knew that he is a fantastic filmmaker and he would do full justice to the film.���
But doesn���t he think that having a typical lover-boy look he should have opted to do a love story instead of a horror film? ���I don���t like doing chocolatey roles. As an actor I would like doing roles with substance. 1920 being a horror movie, I got a chance of displaying my acting skills and in future too I would like to do roles which satisfy my hunger for acting,��� says Rajniesh.
Ask him about his experience of facing the camera for the first time for a film and he says, ���The experience was really great, but at the very same time it was scary too. We shot at Allerton Castle in Yorkshire. The castle is amongst the world���s ten most haunted castles. We all cast and crew members used to be petrified during our stay there. In fact when anyone wanted to go to the loo, someone or the other used go with him or her as an escort,��� says Rajniesh with a laugh.
Quiz Rajniesh about whether he would like to do more horror movies in days to come and immediately he replies, ���No, not at all. As an actor, now I want to showcase my different shades of acting before the audiences. But yes, if the horror movie offered to me is of Vikramji, I would love doing it. And that���s because Vikramji knows the art of making horror movies.���
Rajniesh who started his career with a music album never knew that one day he would pursue a career in acting. ���I never thought that one day I would become an actor. It was just by chance that I went in for the audition and I got selected for the music album. Meanwhile I also started getting modelling offers and this is how my career in glamour industry kick started,��� informs Rajniesh.
Speaking about his upcoming projects Rajniesh Duggal says, ���Recently I have signed Girish Dhamija���s Phir. In this movie I would be playing a medico. We will shortly start the shooting of the movie. Also few other proposals are in pipeline but at the moment I can���t speak about them until and unless they get finalised,��� says Rajniesh.
As far as Rajniesh���s choice of movies is concerned, he loves watching tragedy movies. ���I am a huge fan of tragedy movies. Be it Veer Zara, Omkara, Rang De Basanti or any other movie, I love watching films with tragic end. Also I love watching English movies whenever I am free.���
