She laughs when we tell her this but goes on to add, ���Television has a much greater reach now.
Its power and hold over the nation has grown by leaps and bounds.
However, I think earlier the content was more interesting. Nevertheless, I think the medium is offering actors great scope to work simultaneously on films and television.��� And she says in a matter-of-fact way, ���Anybody who says that they are not doing television for money is lying because television is the most lucrative thing today.���
Perizaad considers the kind of films she does as ���niche cinema���. ���I was never offered something outright commercial,��� says Perizaad, who will have three films releasing this year.

A trained dancer, who firmly believes in following a strict fitness regime, Perizaad is on a high these days because of her daughter Zaha. She says, ���To see your child grow up is a beautiful experience.��� So what was it about her simple husband that took her off her feet and settle for marital bliss? ���I married the guy I wanted to marry. Isn���t that the best thing to have happened? I find him to be my greatest motivator,��� she says ecstatically.
Apart from playing mommy and wife, Perizaad also has an keen business acumen. ���Endorsing brands adds value to my personality. It���s very important what you pick in terms of brand endorsements,��� says Perizaad.
A firm believer in destiny, the actor admits that things happen only when they are meant to happen. Having established herself firmly after Joggers��� Park, she believes that one should never compromise in life. ���I cannot do what my heart does not believe in,��� says Perizaad who never fails to end her every sentence with, ���You know what I mean���.
