I find new Lucknow very boring,” says the actor.
Kriplani, who has been a known face in films and on TV, is annoyed with the daily soaps aired on TV these days. So much so that he has decided not to do any TV serial in his life, “I have stopped accepting offers from television. The rubbish daily soaps that runs on TV, I can’t do those. They are regressive and have no relation with reality. They treat women disrespectfully and make them look like an idiot. I believe women are the most intelligent people on earth and they should be given their due. They should not be treated like kathputlis on TV, they are much more real than they are shown on TV. That’s why I will never act in a TV serial," shares the actor who was seen in TV serials Khandan, Mr And Mrs and Ji Mantriji.
After having written the screenplay for Shyam Bengal’s film 'Well Done Abba' in 2009 and also the script of the TV serial 'Ghar Jamai', Kriplani has also sworn off writing scripts for either films or TV. “I am fine writing books while sitting comfortably at home. There are people who can do the job much better than me, then why should I try and do something that I am not fine with?”
