'I called Rani Mukerji after two decades,' reveals Nikkhil Advani about Mrs. Chatterjee VS Norway

Nikkhil Advani and Rani Mukerji's association began on the sets of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, where Nikkhil was an assistant director and Rani was making her debut. Fast forward more than two decades and they've worked together again on Mrs. Chatterjee VS Norway, this time Nikkhil taking over the reigns as a producer and Rani being the lead again. Interestingly, Nikkhil hadn't called Rani for a long time before he offered her this film.




Recalling the time he had to call his prospective leading lady, Nikkhil said, “I called Rani after almost 2 decades because I knew only she could play this role. I remember it was a Thursday and she said that she would let me know on the coming Monday. When I spoke to her on Monday, she said, 'I was going to call you on Friday itself and say a big yes'. That’s the power of this script.”




Another interesting fact about Mrs. Chatterjee VS Norway is that it is Rani Mukerji's first non-YRF film after a decade. The film is directed by Ashima Chibber who had previously directed Mere Dad Ki Maruti for Yash Raj Films. The film is produced by Nikkhil along with Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. The film releases on March 17.
