I am not aware of Jacqueline: Chandi Perera

She is not exactly a house-hold name, but Chandi Perera certainly knows how to grab eyeballs.
The Sri Lankan model-turned-actor, who is trying to gain a foothold in Bollywood was recently in the news for claiming that she was Jacqueline Fernandez’s cousin.
Chandi however refutes the rumour and says that she is “not even aware of Jacqueline”. She says, “It’s the Sri Lankan connection.I am not aware of her and have not even met her. There are many people who thought I am related to her.” Chandi adds, “But she is a huge inspiration and it’s possibly because of her that I am here in Bollywod.”
While Jacqueline’s career took off after playing a sexy siren in Murder 2, Chandi is yet to make a mark on screen. She is now in talks with director Neeraj Pathak for a film. “The talks are on and we are yet to finalize the look of the film. I am working on my Hindi accent and also taking Kathak classes from Pandit Viru Krishnan,” she says. On home turf, Chandi has a couple of films to her credit.
