Your next film, Drona, is a science-fiction, that may or may not appeal to an Indian audience. What’s your take on that? How was it like working with Abhishek Bachchan?
The Indian audience is not unaware of science fiction films and Krrish was an ideal example of the same.
1x1 polls
The film was a huge hit. I have worked with Abhishek earlier in Bluffmaster and we had a blast. It is no different this time.
Your name has always been associated with big banner films. Is it a conscious decision or is it that without a few such releases, there is some sort of an insecurity?
My association with big banner films is nothing but sheer coincidence. I don’t face any kind of insecurity at all. If the script is good and it interests me, I shall take up the film. I believe that even a small budget film can do wonders. Of late, this has been proven time and again. At the end of the day, it is quality that matters.
Many of your Indian counterparts have showed interest in Hollywood. What about you?
I have a long way to go and am still learning. As of now, I am only interested in doing good work and that could be anywhere, in Bollywood or Hollywood. Currently, there is nothing in the offing.

Actors keep themselves busy with a number of endorsements. What do you think endorsements to be a benchmark of — talent, sex appeal or marketing skills?
I think it is completely talent-based. For example, I recently shot for this commercial in Paris. I am very particular about everything I do, whether it’s about the brands I pick, the films I do or the company I keep. I always settle for nothing but the best. (Laughs)
Considering your aptitude for music and an increase in the number of music reality shows, would you want to associate yourself with any such show, either as a judge or as a mentor?
Not, right now. There are far too many assignments pending. And I don’t see those getting over before the next six months. So, till then I can’t even think of anything else. After that, I might give it a thought.
What are your forthcoming films?
I am working on Drona, Love Story 2050 and My Name Is Khan, all of which are slated to release next year.
