JODHPUR: Hollywood's love and special bond with Rajasthan continued with the shooting for Wes Anderson-directed The Darjeeling Limited around Jodhpur for the past one month. The film is being made by Fox Searchlight Pictures.
Written by Anderson and US film director Roman Coppola with others, the film is based on the spiritual journey of three brothers after the death of their father, said co-producer Lydia Dean Pilcher.

"I have a special bond with Jodhpur as Vanity Fair was shot here," she added. Lydia has also produced Mira Nair's Kamasutra: A Tale of Love, Mississippi Masala and Namesake, besides others.
The unit is currently shooting at Netra village close to Sumerpur in Pali and villagers have been thronging in to see what is happening on the sets. "We cannot reveal what would be shot here but the unit has liked Jodhpur and its surroundings very much," said a member of the unit.
Most scenes were shot in the city's crowded bazaars and Adrien Brody (of The Pianist fame) even moved around clock tower wearing a garland around his neck with co-star Angelica Huston. Actor Owen Wilson, who recently starred in You, Me and Dupree is acting as the eldest of the three brothers who are on a fun and adventure-filled spiritual trip to India, said a source.
Claudia Lewis, president of production at Fox Searchlight said:"We're happy to announce our first film with Wes Anderson, by far one of the most artful, original film-makers working today."
