The trailer of
Irrfan Khan's next flick 'Hindi Medium' is out and is all set to impress the audience. The film that stars Pakistani actress
Saba Qamar Zaman
revolves around the stereotype of primary languages English and Hindi creating a class divide among the masses.
The two-and-a-half minute trailer sees the transforming journey of two parents wanting to get their child an admission into an English medium school. An impressive one-liner mouthed by Saba becomes a defining point in the plot where she says, "English is not a language but a class and if not them, at least their daughter should get to be a part of that class."
In a recent interaction with Mumbai Mirror, the global actor spilled the beans on his own experience with the divide. While he himself went to a convent school because his mother, Irrfan’s been careful to give his two sons,
Babil
and
Ayan
, a taste of our culture even as they devoured American entertainment and borrowed from their lifestyle.
Directed by Saket Choudhary, the film is set to release on May 12.
