Himanshu Sharma ties the knot with writer Kanika

Kanika Dhillon

started a new chapter in their lives in the new year 2021 by getting married. Kanika shared the news on her social media account on Monday, January 4, with photographs of their hands, clicked while performing the wedding rituals. “Here is to #2021 #newbeginnings #himanshusharma,” Kanika shared on Instagram.

The two got married in an intimate ceremony on January 2 with just family members present on the occasion. Himanshu started dating Kanika a year back and the two got engaged in December last year and had shared the photographs on social media.

On the work front, Kanika has penned films like Manmarzziyaan, Kedarnath and

Judgementall Hai Kya

. She has also written the Taapsee Pannu starrer Rashmi Rocket.

Himanshu, who belongs to Lucknow and is a National Award-winning writer, is known for films like the Tanu Weds Manu franchise and Raanjhanaa. He has also written the Akshay Kumar-Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan starrer Atrangi Re which is directed by Aanand L Rai. Taapsee Pannu, who will next be seen in Haseen Dillruba, written by Kanika, congratulated the couple in the post.
