ETimes was the first one to bring you all the deets from actor Ajay Devgn’s latest visit to the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala. While the actor precisely followed all the rituals for his visit, some of them for almost a month, netizens had mixed emotions when Ajay was spotted riding the palki while coming down from the temple stairs.

A source close to the actor informs ETimes that the main reason behind Ajay ditching the stairs was his health condition alongside security-related issues.

It turns out that the authorities of the temple recommended Ajay Devgn to be carried in a palki for security reasons. "This was mainly done to avoid any gathering or chaos keeping in mind the safety of all the devotees coming to the temple. Apart from this, Ajay Devgn who is an action hero, has had multiple leg injuries over the years. Going by what his doctor has recommended, he has been asked to avoid walking for longer duration since he is currently being treated for the same," says the source.

Ajay was accompanied by his cousins Vikrant and Dharmendra who had also followed the same rituals as Ajay for their visit to the temple.

Currently, the actor is back in Mumbai.

Apart from this, he also has projects like 'Kaithi', 'Raid 2' and 'Singham 3' lined up for this year.
