Vicky Kaushal might have just started off in Bollywood, but his versatility has fetched him a lot of accolades and appreciation. His acting calibre has proved his potential to filmmakers making him one of the most demanded actors in recent times. Vicky will be essaying the role of a Pakistani officer in his upcoming film ‘Raazi’ which also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead.

Uri’, a movie which is based on the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army at the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir in 2016. Speaking about his role, Vicky revealed to a daily as to how his role in ‘Uri’ will be more challenging to play on the big screen. Since he plays the commander who led the operation, he is required to beef up for the part.
Currently busy promoting his film ‘Raazi’, which is slated to release on May 11th, Vicky is undergoing paramilitary training amidst his busy schedule. Before he starts shooting for ‘Uri’ in June, Vicky needs to work more on his body by gaining weight and stamina. He revealed that he performs a three-hour military drill daily, which includes jumping and running. The ‘Raazi’ actor also averred that in order to improve his stamina, he learnt slithering and underwent obstacle training, besides the most important part of the job, which was handling a gun.
Directed by debutant Aditya Dhar, the release of ‘Uri’ is yet to be decided.
