Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor made no secret about their eagerness to welcome their first grandchild. Now, daughter Sonam Kapoor, revealed how the new grandparents went all out to welcome the little one.
Sonam, in an Instagram post, shared that her parents got elegant customised thali and utensils to celebrate Vayu's birth.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, the brand wrote in a post, "The Vayu tattva in Indian philosophy is symbolised by a blue circle lovingly chosen by the proud grandparents @kapoor.sunita and Anil Kapoor @anilskapoor to announce the arrival of their first grandchild Vayu Kapoor Ahuja."
Rhea and Sunita reacted to the post and dropped heart emoticons.
Sonam and Anand welcomed their baby on August 20, 2022. Explaining the significance behind their son's name, the couple took to their handle to write, "In Hindu scriptures, Vayu is one of the paanch tatvas. He is the deity of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav and He is the incredibly powerful lord of wind. Praana is Vayu, a guiding force of life and intelligence in the universe. All the deities of Praana, Indra, Shiva and Kali relate to Vayu. He can breathe life into beings as easily as he can destroy evil. Vayu is said to be heroic, brave and mesmerisingly beautiful. Thank you for your continued wishes and blessings for Vayu and his family."
While the actress could not host a star-studded baby shower, she did host a grand Diwali party which was attended by her cousins, and other celebrity guests including Malaika Arora, Athiya Shetty, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Rakul Preet Singh among others.
