Indeed he has done ample justice to the comic and serious roles that he has essayed on the small screen. And now his fans can see him in a rather hatke role. He is playing the role of an underworld don in Erao Satru where he has no dialouge to deliver.
In between his takes, the actor took some time out and spoke to us. “Earlier, I have played an out-and-out negative character in Shonar Horin. In Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti, my character was initially negative, but later on, it gets reformed. But, in Erao Shatru, I am playing the role of a supari killer for the first time and I am really excited. Even my look is so different. I have played so many positive characters.
It is extremely challenging to portray negative characters and I am throughly enjoying this phase of my career,” adds Jayjit. We are sure you are, Jayjit!
P.S: Jayjit’s ‘negative venture’ does not end here. He is also playing a comic-villian (that’s a villian with comic traits) in Sadhok Bamakhyapa as well.
