Hema Malini has a footwear faux pas moment

Dream girl Hema Malini looked absolutely gorgeous on the India International Jewellery Week, but her footwear spoiled it all, writes Nimisha Tiwari
It was the Scintillating Jewellery show on Day 2 of the India International Jewellery Week 2011 in Mumbai. And guess who made a rare appearance, apni Dream Girl aka Hema Malini. Dressed in a rich ink blue sheer saree by designer Nisha Sagar, she looked very bit the elegant bejewelled lady.Nisha, wife of filmmaker Anand Sagar is Hema's good old friend and the two get along well, even outside of their filmy connection. But amidst all that glitzy ramp glam, what caught out attention was the super ugly, black wornout footwear she wore under that lovely saree.
Perhaps worn for sheer sense of comfort, Hema's bathroom slippers like footwear just didn't go well with the heavy duty saree and jewellery. But then, dream girl that she is, Hema's adorable and everyone loves her (ugly chappals or not).
