Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, people witnessed two separate prayer meetings for the late legend. Initially, his first wife, Prakash Kaur, and their children,
Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeita Deol, and Vijeta Deol, organized a prayer meet in Mumbai. The screen legend's second wife, Hema Malini, and their children, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, were absent for the same.
Later, the veteran actress and her daughters hosted prayer meetings for Dharmendra in Mumbai, Delhi, and Mathura as well. These events gave rise to the speculations of a rift in the family, and now, Hema Malini has rubbished all of them.

The Dream Girl of the Hindi cinema further shared, "We talked to each other. I kept one prayer meet at my home because my group of people are different. Then, I kept one in Delhi because I am in politics, and it was important for me to keep a prayer meeting there for my friends from that field."
Elaborating further, she added, "Mathura is my constituency, and the people there are mad about him. So, I kept a prayer meeting there as well. I am happy with what I did."
