“He never touched without permission”; Shah Rukh Khan's college junior and 'Zero' co star Sheeba Chaddha shares bond
In a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan, Sheeba fondly recalled being SRK’s junior in college, even though she never brought it up with him during their work together in films. Despite sharing screen space in 'Zero' and 'Raees', she mentioned that she never reminded him of their shared DU roots, something she now finds amusing in hindsight.
A Gentleman on and off camera
While talking about their time on set, Sheeba was particularly moved by SRK’s respectful nature. Recalling a scene in 'Zero', where her character rushes to protect his, she said Shah Rukh asked her before the take, “Is it okay if I touch you here for the shot?” That small act of courtesy stayed with her. “He never touched me without permission,” she emphasized, adding that such consideration and warmth made the experience all the more special.
What struck her even more was SRK’s generosity, even during Raees, where they didn’t share a scene, he praised her performance in an interview, encouraging audiences to notice her. It’s gestures like these, Sheeba said, that set Shah Rukh Khan apart not just as an actor, but as a person.
From body double to spotlight
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan, after his magnificent performance in 'Jawan', will be next seen in 'King'.
