Film buffs were mighty excited to hear of the possibility of the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali gearing up to sign the newest histrionics queen of Bollywood, Alia Bhatt for his next venture. But it seems he has gone back to his muse, Deepika Padukone and will reportedly be doing his fourth film with her.

According to reports, the reason behind Alia not doing Bhansali's film is none other than the actress's mentor - Karan Johar. The latter is all set to do a costume drama with '

Kalank

' for the first time. Considering how close he is to Alia, he would want his protegee to be a part of his ambitious venture. According to reports, an insider also confirmed that Alia was keen to be a part of Bhansali's next, but when Karan announced his next film, she didn't pursue the Bhansali project. Karan is like a father figure to Alia and he will always be her first priority over anybody else.

So fans of Bhansali and Alia will have to wait for sometime to see their favourites coming together for a film.
