Today Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan turned a year older and fantabulous as it’s his 55^th birthday. While each year his fans travel to Mumbai to gather outside Mannat on this special day, this time the Badshah has requested his fans to not do so, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier he had tweeted, “Iss baar ka pyaar thoda door se yaar’. However, this doesn’t stop the virtual celebration as social media is currently buzzing with posts for the superstar and netizens continue to remember SRK with his iconic films. Besides impeccable silver screen performance, King Khan is also one of the leading style icons in Bollywood. And, on his special day, here’s a look at SRK’s fashion journey through his hit films.

SRK’s iconic character Raj in ‘DDLJ’ was one step ahead in fashion with vintage Lennon sunnies, and classic leather jackets that later became every Indian boy next door’s look. It also popularized the trend of wearing jackets, paired with one-of-a-kind feather hats.

Khan stepped into the shoes of an all-rounder character, Rahul who was one of the popular faces in college and equally active in sports. Inspire by the same, SRK’s sporty lycra tees from brands like Polo Sports and Speedo became all the rage among youngsters. For accessories, wristbands and chain necklaces were equally popular.

King Khan as a music teacher, Raj Aryan Malhotra in ‘Mohabbatein’ was all about sporting an unique mix of casuals with formals.
