Filmmaker Hansel Mehta's 'Shahid' will be the opening film at the first Dharamshala international film festival, beginning November 1.
Ashim Ahluwalia's award-winning film 'Miss Lovely' will be the closing film of the festival, which will feature 26 feature films, documentaries and shorts.
Other films to be shown are Rajan Khosa's 'Gattu' and Umesh Kulkarni's 'Deool'.

The four-day festival, the first being organised in Dharamshala by Ritu Sarin and Tenzin Sonam, promises to showcase the best of recent Indian and world cinema, both in fiction and documentary.
"Film makers Hansal Mehta, Ashim Ahluwalia, Asif Kapadia, Umesh Kulkarni, Karim Al Hakim, Jennifer Fox, Mark Elliot, Dian Said and Guy Davidi will be present at the film festival," Ritu told .
Being organized under the name of White Crane Arts & Media, the festival will feature films from US, Egypt, Malaysia, Israel and UK as well.
Ritu and Tenzin's 'When Hari Got Married', a story of local taxi driver, and Sanjeev Rattan's Dogri film 'Dile Vich Vsiya Koi' will also be screened.
