Hansal Mehta's next film is no longer called 'Turram Khan'

This is his fifth film with protege, Rajkummar Rao
Hansal Mehta's much-awaited film with Rajkummar Rao has undergone a title change, say reports. According to a report in a daily, the film was originally titled '

Turram Khan

', which means an unlikely hero. It has now been renamed as '

Chhalaang

'. Even the release date of the film has now shifted from January 31 to March 13. The director Hansal and the producer Luv Ranjan have been tight-lipped about the change.

What is interesting though is that 'Chhalaang' is Hansal's

fifth film

with his protege, Rajkummar. Their other four successful film ventures include 'Shahid', 'Citylights', 'Aligarh' and 'Omerta'. Each film has gone on to establish Rajkummar's repertoire as an actor. The filmmaker has also made a successful team with actor Manoj Bajpayee. Their last film together was 'Aligarh', which won a lot of accolades and awards.

However, there is another actor that Mehta looks up to and that's Amitabh Bachchan. He recently recalled an anecdote related to his first meeting with Bachchan. The filmmaker was responding to a query about his “most memorable celebrity encounter”. In response he tweeted, “I’d just begun my career and had dropped off a letter to Mr. Bachchan’s bungalow (with security). The next morning at around 8 am my mother comes to the room and says that there is a call for me from Amitabh. My assistant editor at that time was Amitabh Verma.”

He continued with another tweet, "I pick up and say ‘Bol Amitabh’. Reply is ‘Main Amitabh Bachchan bol raha hu’.”
