Shooting schedules can get very boring, but that was never the case on the sets of Aasma, all thanks to actors Hamid Khan and Shubh, who used to keep everyone on the sets entertained with their pranks. During one the shooting schedules, Hamid - who plays the second lead - along with the director Rohit Nayyar decided to play a prank on the unsuspecting unitwallahs.
My character in the film wears an earring throughout the film.
So, when we started the shot, I hid the earring in my pocket. Suddenly the director yelled Cut and asked me about my earring. I put the blame on the production team and set them running trying to locate my earring. Even my co-actor Nauheed Cyrusi joined them in the search. Meanwhile, I quietly wore it and the shot was taken. Later, when they learnt of my prank, they chased me out of the location, recalls Hamid. Adding that he has high expectations form his debut film, Hamid - who has trained with Kishore Namit Kapoor - says that Aasma is the story of two childhood friends who have a passion for theatre and eventually mange to float their own theatre company. However, life takes a sudden turn, when they realise that one of them is suffering from AIDS.
