Aamir Khan in 'Taare Zameen Par' plays Ram Shankar Nikumbh, an art teacher who sees children differently. The film revolves around a boy named Ishaan who is failing in school due to dyslexia, a learning disability. Ram Shankar Nikumbh encourages Ishaan to be himself through art and gradually restores his confidence. The film depicts so beautifully how one single teacher who genuinely cares for a child can make all the difference in their life. Aamir's act was full of heart, warm, and emotional.

Hrithik Roshan acts as Anand Kumar, a true-life mathematics teacher from Bihar,, in this movie. Anand was an excellent student who abandoned a good future to educate poor students of cost; he initiated a special program to educate 30 disadvantaged children each year for the IIT entrance test. His performance was heartfelt, and the film sends a strong message about the importance of education for all. Hrithik’s role shows a true guru who uplifts lives through knowledge.

Rani Mukerji played the role of Naina Mathur, a teacher who has Tourette Syndrome, a condition that causes uncontrollable sounds or movements. In 'Chak De! India,' Shah Rukh Khan portrays Kabir Khan, a retired hockey player who is appointed coach of the Indian women's hockey squad. He is the ideal mentor who trains his team members to have faith in themselves and never lose hope.

Amitabh Bachchan is Debraj Sahai, Michelle's instructor, who is deaf and blind in 'Black.' Michelle lives in the dark and silence until Debraj comes into her life. He uses hard love and tough methods to train her to speak and learn. It's a tear-jerking movie on love, learning, and the encouraging power of a teacher. Amitabh's work was strong and emotionally charged.

​Sushmita Sen – 'Main Hoon Na'

Sushmita Sen plays the role of Miss Chandni, a chemistry teacher in the film 'Main Hoon Na.' Boman Irani played Dr. Viru Sahastrabuddhe, also known as "Virus," the strict principal of an engineering college in ‘3 Idiots.’ His character follows old-fashioned and high-pressure methods of education. Even though Virus seems tough, we later see his softer side. His character shows how teachers must evolve with time and understand their students better. Boman Irani added humor and depth to the role, making it both scary and touching at times.
