Gurpreet Kaur and Nitin Rao blessed with a boy
Nitin Rao, who has featured in films such as Samrat Prithviraj and Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar, and is currently seen in Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, has been blessed with a baby boy. Rao, who married actress Gurpreet Kaur in December 2022, describes the experience as deeply transformative.
The actor shares, “I was overcome with emotion, a mix of happiness, relief, gratitude, and joy, the moment I heard my baby's first cry. That sound changes something within you forever. It’s a feeling I will always carry in my heart.”
Fatherhood, he says, has shifted his perspective. He adds, “You start seeing life through a completely new lens, and a sense of responsibility comes naturally. Becoming a father also helped me understand my parents’ journey more deeply, and my respect and gratitude for them have grown immensely. Fatherhood humbles you in the most beautiful way.”
The arrival of his son has also transformed life at home. He says, “Everything now revolves around the baby’s comfort and routine. From setting up his space to making small adjustments around the house, every corner feels different. My family is planning a special surprise with decorations to welcome him home, which makes this phase even more emotional. The atmosphere is warmer, calmer, and full of positivity.”
On choosing a name for their newborn, Nitin shares that the family is taking their time. He says, “We’re looking for something meaningful, a name that carries warmth, positivity and reflects the love we already feel for our son.”
Balancing a demanding shooting schedule with the responsibilities of a newborn has been challenging, but Nitin feels things have aligned in unexpected ways during this phase. He shares, “Shooting schedules are fixed and demanding, so managing work and personal life is not easy, especially right now. But I truly feel the baby has brought blessings with him. It feels like God is managing things for us. Despite the hectic routine, I was able to attend the premiere of my release, and somehow everything is falling into place smoothly.”
