A serious security scare has emerged from Gonder village in Haryana as unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire outside the residence of
Diljit Dosanjh’s manager, Gurpartap Kang.
According to TOI City, police have begun an investigation to determine who was behind the attack and what prompted it. Authorities are also reviewing security arrangements around the residence.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility
According to reports, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the firing. In a message circulated on social media, individuals identifying themselves as Tyson Bishnoi, Aarzoo Bishnoi, and Hari Boxer alleged that the attack was carried out using “Austria-made” weapons.
The statement said the firing was meant as a warning and not as an attempt to extort money.
The group also alleged that a member associated with Diljit Dosanjh’s team had mistreated several women. According to the post, a woman from Punjab was harassed and later abandoned during a recent tour in Australia. The statement further claimed that other women had made similar allegations.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang calls it a third warning
The post stated that two earlier warnings had already been sent to Diljit Dosanjh and his managers, Sonali and Gurpartap. The group claimed they had asked them to distance themselves from the accused individual. Describing the latest firing as a “third warning,” the statement said the group was showing restraint because Diljit represents India on international platforms.
It also warned that more serious action would follow if its demands were ignored.
The message concluded with a threat to “expose the accused” and target those who continued to support him.
Diljit Dosanjh addresses protesters during Canada Show
Diljit is currently performing abroad as part of his Aura Tour. During a recent concert in Canada, protesters were seen displaying pro-Khalistani flags.
Diljit responded by instructing his security team to remove them from the venue.
On May 11, he addressed the controversy through his Instagram Stories. The singer made it clear that he would not allow anyone to disturb his audience. Taking to his Instagram Stories, the singer wrote in Punjabi, “Standing outside and protesting, anyone can do that. But if you try to come inside and harass my fans, that will not be tolerated. If someone brings a banner or a flag, it usually means they want to show where they’ve come from and that they support me. But if you’re standing outside with the same banner abusing my fans, and then try to come inside and do the same thing, that will not be tolerated.”
At present, the identity of the attackers has not been officially confirmed by police. The claims made in the social media post are part of the ongoing investigation.
Further updates are awaited as the investigation continues.
