Guneet Monga reveals she 'cried her eyes out' after watching Vikrant Massey starrer '12th Fail': 'If I had seen this 15-20 years ago...'

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's '12th Fail' starring Vikrant Massey received immense love and appreciation from the audience and the critics alike. Guneet Monga Kapoor has now recently joined the ranks of those who have seen the film and expressed their absolute admiration for it.

Along with a photo of the film's poster, the filmmaker shared her emotional reaction, disclosing that she was moved to tears after viewing the Vikrant Massey-starrer. Monga extended her heartfelt congratulations to the entire film team and sent her best wishes to the real-life counterparts, Manoj and Shraddha.



She wrote, 'Sitting at the Lucknow airport Starbucks and CRYING my eyes out watching #12thFail What an incredible film! I swear if I had seen this 15 – 20 years ago, the main IAS / IPS bannti! Congratulations to VVC Sir & the entire team & salute to the real & reel Manoj & Shraddha.'

Monga also mentioned that she missed the film in theatres but was able to capture its magic on the streaming platform.




'12th Fail,' directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, delves into the hardships faced by UPSC aspirants, drawing inspiration from the real-life journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who triumphed over numerous obstacles to achieve the rank of an IPS officer. Vikrant Massey portrays Sharma's character, with Medha Shankr portraying his on-screen wife, Shraddha Joshi.
