Govinda to be discharged from the hospital today, advised bed rest for six weeks

Actor and politician Govinda was rushed to a nearby hospital early morning on Tuesday after he accidentally shot himself in the left leg around the knee due to a misfire at his juhu residence. The bullet was swiftly removed and the actor was kept under observation for a day in the ICU. He was moved to the normal ward and rested for the next two days before granting a discharge on Friday afternoon.
His wife Sunita Ahuja told Bombay Times, “He is doing fine. He will be discharged today at around 1 pm. He has been advised bed rest for six weeks. He has to be on strict diet as he won’t be able to move around or work out. He will be back on his feet and start dancing very soon Mata Rani ke krupa se. Our belief in God saved him. I would like to thank all his well-wishers who stood by us in this difficult time.”
Son Yash posted a picture of his father on Thursday from the hospital on Instagram saying, “strong man”.
