Govinda says 'people were turning against me' as he responds to allegations of him being 'unprofessional'

Govinda, who ruled the silver screen in the 90s, was later accused of being ‘unprofessional’ by some of the directors and producers he worked with. The actor recently spilled the beans on the same.
In an interview with Maniesh Paul, Govinda said that when you are successful, many try to pull you down. According to him, he was at the peak of his career for 14-15 years.When everything was going in his favour, nobody raised these issues. The actor claimed that in the film industry, people change with time and so do equations. Govinda added that he realised that people were turning against him. However, he couldn’t do anything about it.

Earlier, in a conversation with the Times of India, Govinda had spoken about Bollywood conspiring against him. He said, “Yes, of course there was a conspiracy against me. As they say, apne bhi paraye ho jaate hain (friends turn their backs on you). If fate is not on your side, then your own people also turn against you."

On the work front, Govinda has entertained his fans with films like ‘Ilzaam’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Hero No 1’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’, ‘Partner’ and many others.
