Actor
Govind Namdev started his
Bollywood
career in 1992 with
David Dhawan's '
Shola Aur Shabnam
'. In the film, he portrayed the role of a corrupt
cop
and went on to play many such roles in films to follow that won him a lot of applause from the audience and critics alike.
In a recent interaction with media,
Namdev
opened up about his struggling phase and said that although his performance in 'Shola Aur Shabnam' was loved by the audience, it had a negative impact as he was only getting roles of an inspector.
Namdev said that actor
Mahavir Shah
informed him that it was his 25th film as an inspector and that no one offered him any other roles. That's when he decided not to accept a similar role. So from that day, he started rejecting offers.
While Namdev has worked with some big stars in the Bollywood industry, he expressed a desire to collaborate with filmmakers
Karan Johar and Mani Ratnam in future projects.
