Golden Star Ganesh's upcoming Sandalwood movie '
Geetha’ is a story reportedly set in the 1980s. According to reports doing the rounds, the film will portray the
Gokak agitation
, with Ganesh leading the fight for the first-language status.
Director Vijay Nagendra opened up about the criteria laid down in order not to offend people speaking other languages who worked on the film. The team also tried their best to make the script entertaining and prevent people from getting bored.
“I play the role of a hardcore Kannadiga in the movie. Director Vijay Nagendra has done a lot of research on this story which is different from others.” said actor Ganesh.
'Geetha’ will reportedly feature three actresses in leading roles. The movie has been shot in and around Kolkata, Mysore, and Bangalore. The teaser released on Monday and went viral on social media.
