Ganesh Archarya inks his wife Vidhi’s name on her birthday

Bollywood’s popular choreographer, Ganesh Acharya, surely knows how to surprise his beloved wife, Vidhi. On her birthday recently, Ganesh gave her what she calls one of the best gifts she has ever received — he got her name inked on his arm. Vidhi says, “I was so surprised when I saw my name inked on his hand. It was the sweetest thing he ever did for me.”

Interestingly, Ganesh isn’t a fan of tattoos and even dissuades those around him from getting inked. He shares, “Yes, I am not a big fan of tattoos and, in fact, I would tell people not to get one. I had not planned to get Vidhi’s name inked; the thought struck me suddenly and it just felt right. I wasn’t around on Valentine’s Day, as I was busy with a shoot, but when I came back, getting a tattoo was the first thing I did and it was a great surprise. I loved seeing Vidhi’s reaction when she saw her gift.”

Talking about his wife, the choreographer says, “We have been married for 19 years now and Vidhi is everything that I dreamt of in a wife. I really appreciate all the love and support I got from her over the years. She is a big Shiv bhakt and makes sure to visit a Shiv temple every Monday. So, my tattoo reflects her love for Lord Shiva as well — it has her name printed around Shivji’s trishul and the sacred syllable, Om.”
