'Gadar 2' director Anil Sharma praises Amitabh Bachchan's performance in Kalki 2898 AD: 'His fans will get mad'

Amitabh Bachchan has once again shown why he's called the megastar of Bollywood with his impressive performance in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this mythological sci-fi film features Big B as Ashwatthama, and fans have been excited about its release on June 27. 'Gadar 2' director Anil Sharma has praised the film 'Kalki 2898 AD' and sent good wishes to the entire team. He especially praised Amitabh Bachchan's performance in the movie.

Anil Sharma took to X (formerly Twitter) and praised Kalki 2898 AD while calling it the "blockbuster of 2024." His tweet read as saying, "Congratulations to entire team of #Kalki28989AD #prabhas @ikamalhaasan @deepikapadukone for a blockbuster of 2024" Adding more he praises Amitabh Bachchan, he said that his action will be a treat for all the fans. "loved @SrBachchan sir ... his fans will get mad after watching his action n powerful avtar after many many years which they used to watch in 80’s n 90’s .. very happy for prabhas fans also," read a part of his tweet.

During the first episode of The Kalki Chronicles, Amitabh Bachchan shared insights about the mega project 'Kalki 2898 AD"'. He mentioned that blending mythology with futuristic elements is uniquely intelligent. Big B praised the film as pure quality content and expressed confidence that viewers would be captivated enough to believe what they see by the end of it.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' is a pan-India project starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. The film also features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Set in a dystopian future, this sci-fi movie draws inspiration from Hindu scriptures and begins 6000 years after the events of the Mahabharata.
