Fresh pairings to look forward to

The shelving of the Salman Khan and Ali Bhatt- starrer ‘Inshallah’ has opened the floodgates of possibilities for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. With fans eagerly waiting to see what he presents next, the director has had the media keeping a close watch on him and his meetings with actors over the past weeks. The latest star to tap at SLB’s doors was none other than heartthrob Kartik Aaryan.

The hunk was clicked leaving the famed director’s office and has now fuelled speculations that he might just be in the running to star opposite Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film ‘Gangubai’. The film will reportedly be based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s novel- Mafia Queens of Mumbai, which focuses on Gangubai Kothewali, the matriarch of Kamathipura.

Although not confirmed yet, this would surely be a dream casting for any film buff.

In a fresh new pairing, Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey are all set to collaborate for the first time for their upcoming film, ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’. According to latest reports, the film will go on floors on September 1, 2019.

The rom-com will be directed by debutant director, Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan under the banner of Soundarya Productions. The film will be shot in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Manali for over 50 days. Puneet Khanna has reportedly worked with Farhan Akhtar, Ashutosh Gowariker and Zoya Akhtar.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vikrant will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’ which stars Deepika Padukone in the lead role. Yami, on the other hand, will be seen in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Bala’.

Imtiaz Ali is all set to create magic with his film once again with his upcoming movie, ‘Aaj Kal’ which stars the refreshing and lovely pairing of Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan. While pictures from the sets of the film have been pouring in from all sides on the social media, the filmmaker recently shared a sweet picture of the lead pair.

Taking to his Instagram handle, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali shared an endearing picture of Sara and Kartik. Been shot candidly, Sara and Kartik are seen engrossed in the feel of the movie in what looks like the readings of the film.

Imtiaz captioned the picture as, ‘the oxygen that makes the film breathe #aajkal @saraalikhan95 @kartikaaryan (clicked during the first few readings of the film, before shoot began)’

Tentatively titled, ‘Aaj Kal’, the film is touted to be the sequel of ‘Love Aaj kal’ which starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.

After mesmerising his audience with ‘Padmaavat’, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to impress all with his next where he brings together the unusual and fresh pairing of Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt to the audience.

Although there was buzz that the film will extensively be shot in Florida, Orlando, the latest reports suggest that the makers will reportedly kick-start the shooting of the film in Varanasi and then jet off to Florida.

According to reports, Bhansali has been working in full swing on the film and even visited Varanasi and Haridwar for recce. He also apparently saw the Ganga Aarti and also participated in it in Haridwar besides seeing a few houses too.

While the film marks the reunion of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan after their iconic film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, this will be the first time that Alia Bhatt will be working with both SLB and Salman.

The exciting journey has begun! ‘Bole Chudiyan’, produced by Rajesh and Kiran Bhatia under the banner of Woodpecker Movies and directed by Shamas Siddiqui have started the preparations and the prep is in full swing with the lead actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy.

The reading, characterisation, costumes are being worked upon at full speed.

Nawazuddin and Mouni have begun their workshops and are working diligently on the nuances and look of their characters with director Shamas Siddiqui.

The shoot starts from May 6, 2019 for a start to finish 45 days schedule. The film is slated for October 25th, 2019.
