<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">KOLKATA: Magsaysay award winner and eminent writer Mahasweta Devi, after earning accolades for a Bangla teleserial, is now all set to do a film story.<br /><br />"I am ready to sell my stories for films. But the only condition is that the producer should stick to my original story without making any changes", she said.<br /><br />Now that many female-oriented films are being made, "I hope, some producer approaches me knowing that I mostly write on women-related issues and topics that concern their upliftment", she said.<br /><br />On popular teleserial <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Proti Chuanno Minute</span> (Every 54 Minute), penned by her, which is being telecast on DD1 and DD7, she said "it completed its 300th episode on Tuesday last with very high TRP ratings".<br /><br />Asserting her fight is for the cause of a common man and "crime against women and for their empowerment", Devi said the serial is based on National Crime Bureau''s report.
According to it, one woman is "violated every 54 minutes" in the country, she said, describing it is a "national shame". </div> </div>
