Freddy Daruwala shares pictures of son Evaan for the first time

A couple of months ago, Freddy Daruwala had shared his son’s name,

Evaan

, with TOI. And now that his

son

is almost four months old, the

actor

has shared his baby’s exclusive pictures with us. Ask him why he didn’t make his son’s photographs public until now, and Freddy replies, “Some would say that I’m an overprotective dad, but I think I’m a conscious one. At this stage in Evaan’s life, we choose everything for him — from the brand of diapers to his sleeping schedule. That’s because we want to ensure that he’s safe, happy and protected. My wife, Crystal, and I didn’t want our son’s pictures to become public. We made a conscious choice to protect his privacy and keep him away from all the unnecessary attention soon after birth.”

Evaan is currently in the US, and Freddy was missing his tot so much that he decided to postpone all his work commitments to meet him. “I don’t have enough words to describe the emptiness that I feel when Evaan is not around. He is a source of energy that keeps the house vibrant and bright. Since he has been in the US for almost a month, I felt that some part of me is missing. Hence, I decided to travel,” says Freddy, adding that what he loves the most about his son is his calmness. “He has a calm temperament, unlike me. bawas (laughs!). He has got his daddy’s eyes and an infectious smile to match that sparkle,” says the actor.

Freddy agrees that his responsibilities have doubled up since the arrival of his little one. Ask him how he balances work and daddy duties, and he replies, “It’s all about giving my 100 per cent in whatever position I am in. So, it’s pretty easy to manage. When I’m with Evaan, I know that I’m his superhero and when I’m at work, I am whoever the script asks of me to be.”
