FIVE times Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt dropped hints that they would get married this year

Ever since Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have expressed their love for each other in public, they have thrown caution to the winds and are no longer bothered about being seen together. Both the actors have been quite open about their relationship. Although we are yet to hear an official announcement about their impending wedding, here are five instances when Ranbir hinted that he might marry Alia this year.

Although Ranbir Kapoor has been linked to a lot of actresses throughout his career, the actor has never been so open and optimistic about his relationships before Alia. The actor even discussed marriage plans in an interview. In a throwback interview with a news portal, Ranbir had said that it would’ve been sealed had the pandemic not hit. He said he did not want to jinx it by saying anything. The actor also added that he wanted to tick mark that goal very soon in his life.

Ranbir has never shied away from showering compliments on his ladylove every time he spoke about Alia in his interviews. In one of the interviews, not only did Ranbir call Alia his girlfriend but also added that she is an overachiever. He revealed that Alia probably took every class out there--right from guitar to screenwriting. He also admitted that he often feels like an underachiever next to her.

Alia and Ranbir have both fit into each other’s families like gloves. They are often seen hanging out with each other’s families and even going on outings together. While Alia was seen celebrating Ranbir’s sister Riddhima and mother Neetu Kapoor’s birthdays and attending the annual Christmas lunch with the Kapoors, Ranbir was also recently spotted at Alia’s house to ring in her father Mahesh Bhatt’s birthday.

Lovebirds Alia and Ranbir were spotted in Jodhpur over the weekend, ahead of the actor’s birthday. As per several reports and fan club posts, Alia and Ranbir headed to Jodhpur to scout locations for their speculated wedding. From the Jodhpur airport, the couple reportedly headed to Jawai Bandh by road.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were spotted at the construction site of their new home in Pali Hill, Bandra. The couple was spotted arriving at the new property that they might move into once the construction is complete. Alia and Ranbir were joined by Ranbir's mother, Neetu Kapoor. While Ranbir has been frequently spotted visiting the site, personally overseeing the development of the new Krishna Raj bungalow, netizens were surprised to see Alia at the site too.
